Daron Parton
Daron graduated from Central St Martins in 1989 with a degree in illustration and began working straight away for the likes of GQ, Esquire, and the New Statesman. Over time, Daron has developed two distinct styles of working and his illustrations are sought after from packaging, to editorial, to children's book illustration. He has recently won 2 prestigious illustration awards, having been Highly Commended in the Australian & New Zealand Illustration Awards 2013, and named all-round winner in 'Australian Creative's' Hotshop Award for Illustrator of the Year 2012. Though Daron and his wife moved to New Zealand in '95, he still has a deep fascination for the city and cites it as the inspiration for many of his characters. Daron's clients include Wall Street Journal, The Age, The Bulletin, GQ (UK), Esquire (UK), New Statesman, The Spectator (Aus) Director Magazine, NSW Law Journal, Vodafone, NZ Herald, NZ Telecom, Scholastic (US), Reed Publishing, APN Magazines, Fairfax Magazines, Scholastic (NZ), Pearson, Mother Earth and Phoenix Organics.
